AES Civil construction department is an integral component to our broader Construction Business and over the years has a proven & successful track record of delivering quarry materials & ready-mix products to our clients throughout Papua New Guinea. Our proven batch designs and on site Lab support ensures quality control and specifications are met. In addition AES has experienced steel-fixers and concreters to deliver a complete solution.

Our ability to adapt to adverse conditions from remote locations to high productivity and quality demands has been attributed to our experienced personnel, well maintained modern equipment and a broad understanding of working in partnership with Local groups.

As part of AES’s strategy, a focus towards Quarry material exploration and technical support has lead our company to establish economically viable Quarries beside or within the vicinity of the project sites which brings a commercial advantage and ultimately cost savings to our clients. Our technical experience has changed the dynamics of past projects and provided clients with options which have been significant to critical path construction.

Electrical Contracting

Principally based in Kokopo, AES Electrical is the longest serving division of the business. Our team of tradesmen and engineers can deliver projects and installations compliant to AES and PNG standards whether domestic, commercial or industrial.
Drawing on decades of diverse project experience on sites throughout PNG, we understand the demands of remote and challenging projects and can commit to equipment design, procurement, engineering and installation across several disciplines.

Areas of expertise include power generation, switchroom design and construction and HV and LV reticulation.

Significant Projects include works to Simberi Gold Mine’s processing plant, a major installation where AES was responsible for HV and LV reticulation and terminations to the entire plant, instrumentation procurement,switchboard design and manufacture, optical fibre reticulation and power generation.

AES also custom designed and built switchrooms for Exxon LNG contractor Spie Capag accommodation camps and has carried out fitout and reticulation works for Interoil, APTC, HGDC, Lamana Hotel and Spie Capag.


Our project management experience in remote civil works is unsurpassed. AES Civil has an unrivaled history of successful completion of Civil woks in remote areas. AES has a team of remote specialists delivering everything from airport upgrades, bridges, roads, bulk earthworks to drill pad construction.
