ISPS certified private port with 540 metres of wharf

The AES supply base is the perfect logistics hub.  With 540 metres of wharf, a container terminal, and a full suite of logistics services and infrastructure, the supply base and port provide a unique business platform for accessing broader PNG.

Strategically located on Fairfax Harbour in the growth corridor between Port Moresby and the expanding PNG LNG plant, the supply base is part of the PNG Business & Logistics Park.

Clients benefit from a privately owned port, as well as a fully integrated handling service and transport link ideal for efficient project logistics, staging, and shore-based operations.  Furthermore, we are PNG’s preferred project cargo specialist.

Your security and safety are assured at PNG’s only privately owned commercial port with ISPS (International Ship and Port Facility Security) certification.

Facilities & services include:

Warehouse storage & laydown areas

Ample space is available on our 94-hectare waterfront site.  AES’ in-house team of engineers, construction and civil professionals can deliver purpose-built warehouses, as well as a broad spectrum of other facilities to suit clients’ unique operational needs.

Workshop

A well-equipped and modern mechanical and engineering workshop staffed by highly trained professionals across multiple disciplines provides 24/7 support.  Our workshop also incorporates an expansive spare parts store.

Road haulage & heavy transport

Our privately owned fleet caters for general container transport through to large oversize loads utilizing multi-axel trailers.  Cargo tracking, as well as specialized escorts and fully qualified dangerous goods movements are also available.

RoRo

Our impressive RoRo facility spans 40 metres of clear ramp which is paved for added traction and safe handling.  The configuration of the facility within our broader 540-metre wharf enables our shore cranes to load portside – an advantage when both RoRo and containerized cargo need to be loaded on the one vessel.

Reefer container points

Our port provides a range of different cargo handling disciplines, including refrigerated containers.  Quality is assured via Australian standard three phase power and a technology-driven temperature monitoring system.

Port equipment

We have a broad range of well-maintained and modern equipment ensuring safe and efficient services. Our equipment includes cranes, stackers, tractors, spreaders, lifters, slings, and chains.  Equipment operations are expertly backed by a disciplined team of stevedores.

Stevedoring experience

Our highly trained team of Stevedore professionals possess a broad skill base and are extremely experienced.  They safely and expertly handle a vast range of cargo, from general container handling, break bulk, dangerous goods, fluid transfers, and bulk commodity produce through to complex over size movements.

Industry support

A privately owned and managed operation, our Supply Base and Port is quick to adapt and accommodate industry changes, providing a broad spectrum of clients with tailored supply, port and logistics solutions. Our flexibility and client centred approach has led us to specialize in project cargo, commodity handling & storage, and providing specialised shore base infrastructure.
